Description: This is a great example of an original KA-BAR Commando WWll fighting knife made in Olean N.Y. I am no expert, but from the online research I've done based on the stamp on the guard, the 3/8" thick pommel, and the Parkerized blade with no fuller I believe it dates to sometime around 1944 or 1945. Definitely WWII era. It seems to be in good condition for its age, weighs 8 Ounces Again, I only know what I've read on online forums and Wikipedia about these things. If there is something else you'd like to know, just ask, and I'll do the best I can to answer any questions. It comes without the original sheath.
