Description: Vintage Royal Standard #2086 Fine Bone China Footed Cup & Saucer Set. Made in England. Measurements: The cup is 3" in Height x 3-3/8" in Width x 4-1/4" Length (at Handle). The Saucer is 5-7/8" in Width. Pattern #2086 Description: Bone China, Violets, Gold Lattice, Scrolls, Scalloped, Gold Trim. Made in England. Company History: Standard China, Royal Standard China & Royal Mayfair were trade names used on goods manufactured by Chapmans Longton Ltd, a manufacturer of earthenware at the Albert Works, Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, England from 1916 until 1966. They were founded in 1916 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Thomas C. Wild & Sons. In 1964 Allied English Potteries acquired the Wild companies, and then during a reorganization in 1966, closed Chapmans Longton. Maker's Mark: The 'Royal Standard-Fine Bone-China-ENGLAND' mark on thesis set was used from ca. 1949 until 1966. Condition: Excellent vintage condition with very little signs of prior use.
