Description: This is a Vintage Leather Travel Pass / Ticket Holder / Wallet with Snap-in, Removable Token Holder. The large 5 1/2" x 6 1/2" holder is made from buttersoft light brown leather, sewn over a darker, stiffer backing possibly non-leather material around the edges and on the back of the coin holder to help it hold its shape better. The main compartment is open at the top for holding bus passes, train tickets, and other travel documents. The removal strap-in coin hold has a 1/8" slot down the center for easy removal of bus, train, or trolley tokens. The holder is gold embossed with TOKENS above the snap as seen. There are no other marks or makers information on the holder. The holder is an estate piece and we do not know the age specifically, but my best guess would be circa 1930s. Condition The leather is overall, in very good condition, but there are a few fairly minor issues to note: a couple of very minor dimples and scuffs on the back side there is a dark smudge at the top right corner on the back right edge near the top, there is a narrow 1/4" long scrape in the leather exposing the reinforcing material between the leather plies the removable token holder has a couple of small scrapes on the rounded bottom edge of the flap, and a some minor wear along the top fold in the flap.
