Description: This is listed as pickup only outside Sandusky, OH, and IF I decide to ship it you must contact me BEFORE purchasing at 4194334710! ***I am not an expert on vintage anvils so please ask any and all questions BEFORE purchasing! Awesome vintage Hay-Budden Farriers' Clip Horn anvil, dated from 1907 I believe (serial number 134141). This is in great shape and rings like a bell with great bounce. It is stamped 200 and weighs a hair under that on my scale. At 200 pounds, I believe this is the heaviest Farriers' Clip Horn anvil that was available in the original catalog yet it has some unique dimensions and is rather long for it's weight. It is 34.5" long with a 13" horn and a 21.5" face. The face is a little under 4" wide and the base is about 12.25" X 11". There are two Pritchel holes, a 1" Hardie hole, and the anvil is a little under 12" tall. The edges of the face are very nice with no major flaws or areas of wear. The horn has some light tool marks on it (mostly on the top where it meets the face) and also a small gouge on the one side of the tip which is seen in the circled area of the one picture. The face is flat from the Hardie hole to the heel and has a uniform belly in it between the Hardie hole and the start of the horn of about 1 millimeter as seen in the picture with the level atop it. The stand is also very nice, and in need of some paint, with a pair of plates that bolt the anvil to it. The stand weighs about 35 pounds and is 17" tall. It would be in your best interest to contact me at 4194334710 before purchasing. Thanks.
