Description: Vintage 50s Fur Collar Cashmere Sweater 38 M Ballantyne of Peebles Scotland VTG 50s Fur Collar Cashmere Sweater 38 M Pinup Ballantyne of Peebles Scotland Vintage 50's Ballantyne of Peebles Scotland Sweater 100% Pure Cashmere Fur Collar.....Lace Lining Description: Vintage 50's rockabilly pinup cream or champagne sweater fashioned from 100% pure cashmere from "Ballantyne of Peebles....Made in Scotland". The size tag reads "38" but please see "How I Measure" and measurements below to ensure a proper fit. It measures medium. Features of this wonderful sweater include a plunging open V neck style with an attached light tan fur collar, two metal hook and eye closures at the bottom, lace lining with a sheer overlay, and long sleeves. The collar is attached by snaps all along the edge of the opening. Measurements: Shoulder to shoulder 15 1/2 inches, Underarm to Underarm 20 1/2 inches, Bust Approx 36, Shoulder to end of sleeve 22 1/2 inches, Underarm to end of sleeve 17 inches, Back of neckline to bottom hem 18 1/2 inches and Side to side along bottom hem 15 inches. This vintage sweater is in good/fair condition with a few flaws. There are two small holes in the back. Some of the stitching is loose....one of the snaps is detached on one side...the metal eyes for the hook are both very loose. It has many spots and will need a proper cleaning.....see the last photo for the largest and darkest spot, which is located on the right arm. The left shoulder seam of the lining is open and will need some stitches to close it. The lining has some yellowing. I have lowered my price to reflect these imperfections. Due to my lack of sewing skills, any item requiring mending will be left to the new owner.
