Description: Without question, the most captivating color velvet I've ever seen. Some designers call it charcoal red, some aubergine, some red plum. I'll stick with black cherry and will say this is my favorite this season, which is embracing burgundy and merlot. Early 1960s Anne Fogarty rayon velvet dress is labeled (Anne Fogarty and ILGWU label) features front and back scooped neckline, lined bodice, snap bra keeper straps, back poly zipper, ruffled waist treatment, full flowing, flared, skirt with 10' sweep. Marked a size 10 (Oh, vintage sizing, you aren't what you used to be). Not a flaw to note. Dry Cleaned, too. Dress measures: bust to 36-38, waist to 28, hips 38, length 37, hem sweep is 120 (10 feet). The boxed shipping weight is 1 pound 2 ounces.A note regarding vintage clothing: it is rarely perfect.
