Description: Description [Used] Fender / Telecaster Black Maple 1978 A cool 1978 Telecaster has arrived! A 1978 Telecaster with an ash body and black color has arrived! The body is ash, which is typical of this time period. The maple neck has a bird's eye pattern around the head. The neck date is somehow confirmed to be "7" at the last two digits, so it can be determined that it was made in 1977. The rear PU is original and the date 1978 can be seen on the back of the gray bobbin. The front PU is also original, with black Vulcan fiber and vinyl coated wire (originally no date), just like the rear. The selector seems to have been replaced at an early stage, so there is little discomfort at present. The tone pot is made in 1977 and has a knurled nylon shaft. The Vol pot also has solder on the important date part, but it is the same as the tone pot and is thought to be original. The jack, selector knob, and Vol knob have been replaced with recent replacement parts. The nut has been replaced, and the frets seem to be original. The body has wipe marks, scratches, line scratches, dents, and peeling paint. The pickguard has fine picking scratches overall. There is also a common break at the bottom right tip of the pickguard, but it does not affect use. There are small and large dents and peeling paint on the outer periphery of the body, but it is in good condition for its age. The back of the body has a fine buckle scratch at the bottom right of the joint plate, and the back of the body has rough scratches and line scratches. There is peeling paint on the 9th fret on the back of the neck, and there is peeling paint on both sides of the fret. However, while there are some worn-out pieces around the neck, it does not feel like it is hitting your fingers, so it is fine for playing. The 3rd and 6th string pegs are bent, but they are fine for use. The plate next to the Vol knob shows signs of frequent use, but it looks cool. There is no noticeable wear on the other hardware, and it is in good condition considering the age. The neck condition is fine, and the truss rod can be adjusted in the tightening and loosening directions. There are no string marks on the frets, and about 40-50% of them remain. The current string height is adjusted to about 2.0 mm on the 6th string side at the 12th fret, and about 1.5 mm on the 1st string side. Overall, there is some wear appropriate for the age of the guitar, but it is in good condition with no PU replacements, which is common. The frets are also low, but this is typical of the 70s style. I usually play 70s guitars, so it wasn't a problem for me. The weight is over 4 kg, but at this time of year, many guitars are heavy like this. It's heavier than most LPs, but when you play it, it's cool and even gives you a sense of superiority! The sound is crisp like a Telecaster, and if you turn up the volume and distort it heavily, it will howl hysterically and express your inner anger in an emotional way! It's also perfect for a birthday guitar born in 1978, and the receipt from when it was purchased is included, so it's a recommended guitar that shows how much it was cherished!
