Description: Hi Welcome! This item is NOT new or perfect! For your consideration is this really beautifully detailed Music Box from Germany. It is an unique work of art, hand crafted from wood and hand painted by the well known Steinbach company. It features mother with her son and daughter playing in the garden. When the music is playing, the entire platform rotates.The musical movement is a swiss Thorens movement. The sound is bright and clear and it plays very well: " Hoffmann's Erzaehlungen". To wind it up, just turn the platform's wooden foot clockwise. There is a working stopper on the side, too.The music box is in great condition, but unfortunately not complete: one goose and a red flower is missing. There is also a small crack on the side (picture #2) and some paint chips here and there. Otherwise it is lovely. Please look at all pictures and zoom in. It is very rare, not new and perfect, but charming.It measures about 6 1/2" tall and about 6" wide. Comes with original wooden gift box. Please not, that the box has writing inside. (last pic.)
