Philmore Test Probes - Model 912J&913J - Solderable/Solderless 1 Pair Red/Black

Description: This sale is for 1 Pair of Genuine Philmore Premium Test Probes - solderable/solderless (aka test prods) 1 each Red/Black - Genuine Philmore Models 912J & 913J these probes are the higher quality probes which used to be readily available everywhere & are made for Philmore in Taiwan - these are genuine product purchased in bulk from an authorized seller of Philmore products - no counterfiets (which are easily spotted anyway!) Almost all probes which look like these are the newer, inexpensive Chinese Construction - These probes have been in current production for over 50 years and are identical to the older Velleman TLM-6 probes (current Velleman TLM-6 probes are now the low quality chinese product which is ubiquitous here on eBay - I used to sell the Chinese probes as well - but recent declines in quality led me to discontinue selling and using them) In the attached photos, the Philmore probes are the outer pair in photos 3 through 5, the chinese probes are shown for comparison - you can see the larger size, higher quality ferrule and plating, superior quality and color saturation of the plastic, etc.. - they are a joy to use! These and all probes like them are a solderable/solderless test probe (when being used as a soldered probe, liquid flux is very helpful in order to get the solder to stick without putting too much heat into the probe tip! - it is hard to get it to work with straight rosin core solder - I do not recommend it!! I use these probes in my new "Old School" Test Leads made from premium Johnson-Cinch Pin-Tip and Banana Plug Connectors and Powerwerx 5000v Rubber Test Lead Wire These are excellent for building replacement test probes for Heathkit and other Vacuum Tube Volt Meters or salvaging a set of VOM, VTVM or Oscilloscope test leads with damaged or missing probe tips I sell other kits which come with more components to build VTVM probes, as well as completed probe sets for a dozen different VTVMs see my eBay store for more options!
