Unlike the soundtrack album from the Etting biopic, "Love Me or Leave Me," with lavish orchestration by Percy Faith, Etting's original recordings mostly feature her accompanied by a solo piano. While the disc-to-master tape transfers of 1955 are not equal to what would have been done in the digital era, Columbia did a fairly good job in 1955 with these transfers, considering they lacked much dynamic range on the original 78 rpm discs and the fact that CBS did not own Columbia Records at the time these recordings were made.
