Forged from a single tang from blade to the base of the handle and finished with the traditional three-step honbazuke method, it’s a knife that performs seamlessly when chopping, dicing, mincing and slicing. The blade, made from 100 layers of stainless steel and ice-hardened, is finished in a Damascus pattern, indicating the high quality, edge retention and corrosive resistance. Created with the expert input of Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto, the Nakiri Knife from the MIYABI 5000MCD series is the perfect utensil for the finest cutting work. Nakiri Knife features: Made in Japan. The Flower Damascus pattern on the blade, indicates the 100 layers of two different kinds of stainless steel surrounding the blade. Core of the blade is crafted of MicroCarbide powder steel MC63.
