Description: A LARGE 5 1/4 inch tall x 3 1/4 inch square cardboard and tin antique PURE GROUND MUSTARD container. This tin has a COLORFUL picture of an Owl perched on a branch on two sides. You will see these tins in the smaller sizes and rectangular shapes but as a collector of theses for many years, I am here to tell you that you will RARELY SEE THESE TINS IN THIS LARGE ONE POUND SIZE and SQUARE design! This is an ORIGINAL ANTIQUE Gillett HIGH GRADE Extract Co. mustard tin put out by the FRANK TEA & SPICE CO. and dates back to the early 1900s. Tin reads in part: "1 POUND ... GILLETT'S HIGH GRADE PURE GROUND MUSTARD ... THE FRANK TEA & SPICE CO ... CINCINNATI, OHIO". And again, it has a wonderful picture of an Owl perched on a branch on two sides. Condition: Tin is in good solid condition. Colors are strong, tin has no staining, fading, denting, rust or corrosion. Bottom and top are solid, top still fits and seals. It does have typical age wear that you'd expect to find on a tin that has survived a century of time. PLEASE see pictures to get the best idea of overall appearance and condition. Age: These are ORIGINAL ANTIQUE paper lithographic tins, ca. early 1900's. Shipping: FREE domestic shipping. We DO ship Internationally but we do NOT insure International orders unless buyer specifically requests this and we are able to provide an insurance estimate. If an international shipping charge is much more than the actual shipping cost, we will refund the excess so what YOU pay for shipping/insurance is very close to, if not exactly, the ACTUAL shipping costs! This is important for foreign buyers to know as most of our foreign shipping charges are estimates. We do not falsify information on the Customs Form, such as a price other than what the actual purchase price is, so please do not request us to do so. We ship several times a week and your prompt payment will hasten the turn-around time. These nicely COLORED little spice containers each have a great picture of a little owl on them, perched on branch. This was the TRADE MARK of the David Evans Coffee Co in St Louis Missouri, reaching all the way back to the late 1800's. There are even COFFEE JARS and SYRUP FLASKS that have this same trade mark, the Owl on a limb, embossed into the glass, making these items quite collectible today. The spice tins contained a wide variety of spices, and even some teas, but the number of different spices are many. These three are a nice start, check them out! Terms of Sale: Our goal is 100% customer satisfaction. We put our 30+ years of experience in antiques to use in describing every item we list. Items are sold in a store front format and your purchase is a binding contract, so please don't be hasty when looking over the listing. We find that communication is the key to successful transactions so PLEASE completely read the item description AND ask questions before purchasing, thank you!8484-89xALABAMA ALASKA ARIZONA ARKANSAS CALIFORNIA COLORADO CONNECTICUT DELAWARE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA FLORIDA GEORGIA HAWAII IDAHO ILLINOIS INDIANA IOWA KANSAS KENTUCKY LOUISIANA MAINE MARYLAND MASSACHUSETTS MICHIGAN MINNESOTA MISSISSIPPI MISSOURI MONTANA NEBRASKA NEVADA NEW HAMPSHIRE NEW JERSEY NEW MEXICO NEW YORK NORTH CAROLINA NORTH DAKOTA OHIO OKLAHOMA OREGON PENNSYLVANIA RHODE ISLAND SOUTH CAROLINA SOUTH DAKOTA TENNESSEE TEXAS UTAH VERMONT VIRGINIA WASHINGTON WEST VIRGINIA WISCONSIN WYOMING.
