Description: This great skirt suit, size 16W, is from Lafayette 148. The fabric is a lighter weight wool/cotton/linen/elastane (66/21/12/1) blend and the pattern is a tiny, subtle chocolate brown and cream houndstooth. Both pieces are lined. The skirt has a 3” yoke at the waist, a back zipper, no pockets or pleats, an 8 1/2” back slit, and a straight line from the waist to the mid-calf length hem on most. Measurements for the skirt are: waist-37”, hip-48”, length-27”. The jacket has a chic, retro-looking portrait collar, three-button closure, a slight cutaway at the waist, shaping seams, 3/4-length sleeves and lightly padded shoulders. NOTE that there are (easily removable) cords at the waist for a belt but no belt. Measurements are: bust-46”, hip-48”, length-24”, sleeve length-20 1/2”. This classy and versatile outfit (picture the skirt with a cream cashmere sweater, or the jacket layered over a purple or green wool sheath!) is in excellent condition except for the missing belt and will make a terrific addition to your wardrobe.
