Description: Hi Welcome! For your consideration is this super cute Music Box from Germany. It is an unique work of art, hand crafted from wood and hand painted by the well known Steinbach company. The music box features a red bell with flowers. The musical movement is a REUGE swiss one and works great. The sound is bright and clear and it plays very well "Muede bin ich, geh zur Ruh". This is a children's good night song. To wind it up, just pull the wooden knob underneath the bell. The music is playing until the string is completely retracted. This piece is in great condition, the colours are bright and shiny, there are only few scuffs from using it over the years. Marked with the Reuge label and most probably dates back to the late 1960s. It comes with a thick red cord and could be hang up in a Nursery. I had a similar one as a child and still remember it to this day. The bell itself measures about 4" tall and 3 3/4" in diameter.
