Description: Echinacea Purpurea – Alba - This is a herbaceous clump forming upright cornflower plant that is hardy and vigorous. A perennial that has a long bloom life from July to October, presenting with green coarse leaves on tall erect stems. At the top of the stem is a large white single flower that looks relaxed and daisy-like drooping from around a large cone protruding from the center that appears prickly, but is actually soft to the touch. The cone starts out a greenish-yellow and turns to a bronze-gold color when the flowers start to fade. It is a self-sower coming back year after year, and can be somewhat invasive if not kept in check. It is drought tolerant once established and adapts very well from harsh northern winters to the tropical climates of Florida. It also adapts to wet and dry conditions. All in all it is a good choice if you want an easy to grow and care for plants that will give a constant splash of gorgeous white flowers. Attracts native bees, honey bees, bumble bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. Goldfinches are very attracted to the seeds when they mature. It is recommended to divide the plants every third year to keep them vigorous. This plant also has an impressive family tree that includes: the New England Aster, Chrysanthemum, Zinnia, Shasta daisy and more, and was first entered into Botanical history in 1699 by a British Naturalist. 20+ seed per pack Planting Zone: 4 – 9 Full Sun / partial shade Height: 3 feet - 4 feet Width: 3 feet - 4 feet Attracts Native Bees, Honey Bees, Bumble Bees, Butterflies, and other pollinators. I always check 3 sites of info to choose how I will go about it. It is not hard to do, if you do it right! SEED GERMINATION TIP!!!!!!! ONLY GERMINATE A SMALL PORTION AT A TIME. DON'T PUT ALL YOUR MONKEYS IN A BARREL. Good Luck and Happy Planting!!!!
