The clock has a chime that can be turned off and on. The chime strikes every hour and half hour. It will come complete with pendulum, and a key. I let the clock run for 12 hours and found that the clock ran somewhat fast and was ahead about 5 minutes. However, It did function as intended. The clock may need maintenance or pendulum regulation.The clock will come shipped with pendulum removed. The key will be taped to the inside of the clock. The top and bottom "design" simply slide off as they are held on by friction. They will be removed and packed separate from the clock. I am not a clock expert and I did not disassemble anything or make any repairs. I only ensured the clock functioned and cleaned the exterior. Please be prepared to have to regulate pendulum swing or conduct other maintenance that will help ensure accurate time keeping. This is the extent of my knowledge on this clock and what may need to be done to it. This item is in very good condition but is an item that has been used previously. Photographs may not translate all conditional discrepancies and the item may have some signs of cosmetic wear not visible to the camera but may be seen with the naked eye.
