Description: ANTIQUE PATCHWORK QUILTWITH EMBROIDERY HIGHLIGHTSAND FLOWER MOTIF BORDERS This Antique Patchwork Quilt with Embroidery Highlights and Flower Motif Borders is hand quilted at approximately 5 stitches per inch. It also features embroidery highlights in bright green around each of the squares and has quilted flower motifs in white thread in the purple borders all the way around the quilt. It was made using assorted materials. The quilt measures 63 inches by 65 inches and is in good, well-loved antique condition with expected wear, stains and losses. There are losses in the binding and also minor losses to the embroidery work. Fabrics in the quilt include cotton, wool, and velvet. The bright green embroidery work around each of the squares highlights the quilter's nice color choices including a red and blue plaid material and contrasting solids in tan, brown, and black. Overall the quilt feels sturdy. This quilt is a survivor and would make a wonderful wall hanging. The quilt comes from a private Georgia collection.
