Description: A most wonderful find~ very old authentic, organic rustic primitive loom woven linen hemp sack fabric with a marvelous deep dark indigo double stripe on either side. French sourced and possibly French woven or European woven. Generally woven by farmers as household staples for grains & harvesting. Circa 1900. This would have been folded in half and seamed on one edge. The color of the stripe generally identified the owner. Perfect in rustic organic French and European country, farmhouse & primitive settings and projects~ table pieces, pillow making, small upholstery, bags & large sacks etc.. ***This is unused old yardage (a large rolled bale). There will be some random age related marks/spots in various areas so please view my photos. In general, good strong with some old patina and marks. More overall primitive/rustic with aging. ***Measures~ 41" wide (loom width) by 1 yard long~I can keep your length selected uncut. Many thanks! ~*~*~* I sell antique and vintage fabric.
