Description: An Edwardian oak tankard with silver plated banding and an attractive tapered shape. As you can see from the photos there is an inscription to the front with the date letter 1907. The Mappin and Webb mark is impressed near the base of the handle. Quite a small tankard this one at less than half a pint. Condition. In good overall condition. There is a just a little movement of the top band which is attached to the handle. A little super glue would rectify this but as it does not effect the look of the tankard I will leave it for the new owner to decide whether to do this or not. The silver plate is in good condition with only the screw heads showing the brass coming through. The oak is in good condition with only minimal signs of wear. The inside of the tankard is very tarnished. Approx size. Height just under 12.5cm. Diameter across the bottom 8.25cm. Diameter across the top 6.5cm. Thank You For Looking.
