Both pieces include the stamp P.B. & Co. The basin and pitcher feature trailing vines in burgundy. Other hallmarks on the basin and pitcher include SPECT'IS, and the circular, scalloped imprint Doulton Burslem on each piece. Circa: 1878. Henry and James Doulton acquired a major interest in the PINDER BOURNE factory on Nile Street in Burslem from 1878-1882. The brothers changed their factory’s name to Doulton & Company. The company continued to use the Pinder stamp, P.B. & Co, as well as Doulton & Burslem during the first year only. A piece of history, art and beauty to embellish any room.
