Description: Pictured is a beautiful art nouveau femme fatale boudoir/table lamp. It's composed of spelter metal and mounted to a wooden base. Circa late 1800's, likely made in France and signed "A. Lesueur". I found a couple of other sculptures by this artist online, as well as a very similar lamp, and the signatures look identical. I was unable to find any specific information beyond that and other earlier artists with the name Lesueur appear to have been painters, not sculptors. Measurements are 13 1/2" tall and 6 1/2" wide at the base. There is some wear and missing paint consistent with age and handling. The power cord was updated at some point and the screws holding the sculpture to the base also appear to be replacements. There isn't an on/off button or knob, so the lamp can only be controlled by a wall switch. The small light bulb pictured is being included in the sale. Feel free to ask any questions. Please pay within 24 hours. *** I have a lot of vintage and antique lighting for sale right now, so be sure to check out my other listings.
