Description: This antique Art Deco purse from the early 1900s (1910s - 1930s) features intricate beading with metal florals and beaded fringe that embodies the flapper look of the era. The purse is in very good condition for its age. There are some cut strings on the hanging fringe where beads once hung, but so many of the double-looped beaded fringe is still intact, so it doesn't look like it's missing much. The inside has one small stain on the fabric, and it looks as though the material inside was re-sewn to keep the lining intact, and therefore, it still is. Also, there is a bit of tarnishing on the double ball closure, and the two silver metal flowers at the bottom each are missing a petal ... all quite insignificant considering the age and the absolute beauty and history of this gorgeous bag, and it presents beautifully. This will make a unique addition to any vintage or antique early 20th century collection. The tiny beads, metal, and cloth material where the beads are sewn and on the inside make it a beautiful accessory for any special occasion. The gold color adds a touch of elegance to its original design, making it a must-have for any vintage accessory enthusiast. Please see all photos for details. This stunning flapper-style evening or cocktail bag is triangular in shape, and it has a chain metal strap. This is not marked, and it could be Whiting and Davis, French steel or another designer in the early part of the 1900s. It measures 15.5" H (top of chain strap to the bottom of the fringe); the actual bag is 7" H x 5.75" L/W; and the chain strap is 5.5" long.
