This pretty antique "Orange Blossom" ring features an approximately .17 carat diamond, based on the 3.5 mm measurement. The brilliant diamond is set into an early 1920s open-work setting with chasing and a hexagonal head. The inside shank is stamped with Traub's symbol, "ORANGE BLOSSOM," and "18K." Size 5 Note: The ring was taken in two types of light--one shows the fire of the diamond but not the detail (because of the distance required to not have shadows); the other was taken under artificial lighting to show the detail. The Traub Manufacturing Company was founded in 1910 in Detroit, Michigan. They became well known for their Orange Blossom line of engagement rings and wedding bands, which were crafted from platinum, 18-karat, and 14-karat gold. The Orange Blossom line was popular because of its unique design and the emerging fashion of using orange blossoms in jewelry.
