After that, he came to Japan for the first time on July 30th, at which time Sun Ra was 74 years old. "Live Under the Sky" toured Kanagawa Yomiuri Land, Toyama, Fukuoka, and Osaka Expo Commemorative Park, with daily performances at Shibuya Quattro along the way, and the final performance of the tour on August 8th was at the club at Shinjuku Pit Inn. It was an appearance. This Japan performance featured big band jazz, including standard songs, with a surprisingly service-oriented performance. However, the complex arrangements, the virtuosity of each player, and the telepathic sense of unity of the band are wonderful, and the mysterious space music is captivated through the sound vibrations of Sun Ra, the "scientist of the mythical sound."
