Description: Please read everything about the turn signal plug size. Due to the value of the column this is shipped signature required no exceptions. This is a 4-speed manual tilt column conversion, the 73-78's automatic and manuals use the same exact outer tube. The only difference that is noticeable is in picture 12 of the lower bearing. Just to the left of the bearing there is the extra ring on the inner tube, a true factory 4 speed does not have that ring. This has the metal one-piece lower bowl just as it would have from the factory, and it is locked in place (does not spin on the column) just as it would have been from the factory. The 1973-78 square body manuals did not have a key release lever, and the steering wheel does not lock with the key off and removed. In 1979 they added the key release lever to the manual columns, and the steering wheel then locked with the key out. The 1973-1978's have a splined lower output shaft, and the 79-83's used the double D style. They can be swapped out by using the lower sector shaft that came with the column. This column has New turn signal switch, New lower bearing retainer, New ignition switch, New key switch, New turn and tilt levers, New flasher button, New copper bolts, the bearings were in good shape and greased, also stripped and painted. Plug size info; This column was the early version (73-75 I think), and they use a slightly smaller turn signal plug. I have added a picture (last picture) of the difference in the plug size, the switch itself and the wires are the same. They actually no longer make a turn signal switch with the small plug (they used to sell a switch with an adapter plug, but I can no longer find them), so I swapped out the plug end to keep the original smaller style. If you have the larger plug (76-8) you would have to swap out the plug, however the larger plug won't pop into the steering column plug bracket. The wires just have a little keeper to push in then the wire comes out of the plug. I hope this all makes since; any questions just ask. Let me know if you have the large plug, as I have one other option message me for info. The turn signal lever, tilt lever, lock plate cover, and flasher button are removed (but included) for safe shipping reasons, as seen in the pictures. The turn signal lever needs to be installed before the lock plate cover. The column in the pictures is the exact part you will receive; these are not stock photos. This column is already packed and boxed for shipping. Please verify it will fit your application prior to purchasing. You are buying it to own it, not to try it out. This will be shipped signature required within the 48 either FedEx or UPS ground, so no PO boxes. Also, if you are not in the 48, then email me and I can remove the shipping restrictions. I can ship these using priority mail with increased shipping costs (between $115-$150) through the Post Office to Hawaii and Alaska. If you are out of the US, you can use eBays global shipping program. #1033
