Hanging Jar Thumper DIY kit, solder your own for Wide Mouth Mason Jars (approximately 3") Brand new. Hand crafted in Michigan (made different than most Thumpers in order to be able to hang). Unpolished copper. Includes silicone gasket. Jar included. Made to fit wide mouth jars which come in many sizes and are readily available in 64oz half gallon size too, perfect for 5 gallon batches of wash. Made with 1/2" copper tubing (5/8" actual OD), copper fitting that has been bored out for you so the "vapor in" tube slides through, Now with 100% pure copper Lid. Everything in contact is made out of 100% lead free food grade copper. Mason jars are special high temperature FDA approved food grade jars made to withstand immediate 90 degree Fahrenheit temperature swings and way higher temperatures if done gradually like when using it as a thumper All you need to do is attach the in flow, long tube to your still, and attach the out flow, short tube to your condenser and you have successfully raised the percent abv by around 50%. This is why it is referred to sometimes as a "doubler." Several customers are hanging or configuring 3 or more of these in line and liking the product and process better than their reflux columns. It works very well as a flavor enhancer when filled with juice, or cinnamon, or a half a lemon, or sliced peaches, etc. This Thumper is made out of the strong thick type, red label type M, copper tubing and is designed in this orientation for strength. It is made this way to be able to hang mid air, in line with your column and condenser. It can hang freely and does not require you to find objects around the garage or house like buckets, jars and crates to support it, unlike the more common two hole design in which the copper will bend if you don't support it. Heat tolerant quart size glass jar included. These will fit on any wide mouth Mason canning jars. It can fit larger jars too. I found it to fit a large one gallon pickle jar and a large 3/4 gallon bean jar. You may have to cut some of the stem off or slide it up or down if you want it to fit a smaller or larger jar.
