Description: Premium waxed sand used for trap bedding. Sold per 20 lbs. or 45 lbs. Pre-sifted. Sand is superior to dirt due to its packing capabilities and speed to bedding any size trap. Odorless (except for natural sand smell). Organic matter free. Dark in color due to the high wax to sand ratio used to make this product. The darker the color = the better the product when it comes to waxed dirt/sand. Much of the waxed sand and dirt produced by others is too fine in texture and pulverized to the point where it is difficult to solidly bed a trap in it, but this product has the proper mix of coarse and fine material allowing for easy packing and shedding of water. This will shed water and keep your traps dry and operable indefinitely. Traps properly bedded in this product in September will still fire in March and will not freeze down or cake up with dirt/mud. I've bedded traps in this product on my Idaho wolf line and my traps stay operable all season long. I've even returned to the same trap beds to reuse the material the following season.
