Description: Mercury dimes were minted from 1916 to 1945 at the Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Denver mints. Adolph A. Weinman's design of the Mercury dime featured Lady Liberty on the coin's obverse and a Roman fasces on the reverse. Many mistook Lady Liberty as the Roman god Mercury and began calling it the Mercury dime. The name stuck. Mercury dimes are composed of 90% silver and sought after by coin collectors and bullion stackers alike. Mercury dimes were preceded by Barber dimes and followed by Roosevelt dimes. On offer is this beautiful piece of history, expertly cut out to highlight Lady Liberty, and drilled to allow it to worn as a pendant. I can attach a jump ring if so desired.
