Description: Some people say the sweetest dreams they've ever had were while their heads were resting against a sweet vintage pink textile pillow whimsically made into a shabby cottage pillow with a tufted chenille back...if there is one recipe that is sure to tap a vintage textile soul...it is the merging of a 30's floral cotton and thick white tufted chenille...creating a certain allure that not all can see...and that is no accident...we old souls are unique...different...we are not like the flock...most of us are more sensitive...connected to the parts of our brains that store nostalgic memories and we are deeply connected to the things that bring is warmth of heart and joy of soul through vintage and cottons..from a time and place that is impossible to return...except in our minds as we lay our sleepy heads down at night...it is a place recreated by THINGS...some people downplay the need for things...instead vowing frugality rather than going out and investing in things that provoke nostalgia and warm fuzzies...it is a mode of mainstream that often directs people to mundane lives depleted of beauty and aesthetics that we earthlings are conditioned for...why it is like putting a cow in a factory to live over a field of fresh organic greens for which to thrive and flourish...aesthetics often traded for the likes of PILLS...over decorative feel good antidotes...but I am here to tell you...never neglect that inner peace that being surrounded by beautiful THINGS brings...it is part of who we are...natural and innate... This auction is for ONE delicious old fashioned nanas cottage drapery panel...its not perfect...it has a couple areas on the left side that look like cat scratches...its been washed and is sturdy...on the nana scale its a definite #10 despite the imperfections...my nana's name was Olive...and she loved blue and lavender...it was those colors that first took my breath away as just a lil tyke at nana and pops cottage...nana has long passed...and pop never changed a thing...those draperies were up til the day he passed...and became a permanent part of my memory bank...that vault that forever feeds me the nourishment this old soul needs to survive...measures 25 inches at pleats...two pleats are missing...32 inches at bottom width and 87 inches long. Striking cottage blues...the kind that nature creates over time...mixed with a sweet cool cream...the edge borders remind me of a fine french floral tapestry in its design...but it is the combination of these wonderful lavender roses combined with the blues that takes my breath away...deep purples...canary yellow...periwinkle...even a hint of caribbean blue...softened by the foliage of creamy sage and dusty laurel...tons of cream that adds a sundrench allure that I adore...signed on the selvedge "Guaranteed to be Vat Prints"...my photos showcase every inch of the panel...so please use the photos to really see it. Not flawless...but sweet and timeless as can be. I take returns...but who wants to take a return right?
