Description: Early Illinois grade 61 sidewinder with nice black lettering and fancy Damaskeening. A higher grade model with a micrometer regulator. Nice bright plates and screws. Watch is in running condition, and seems to keep time, but I have not checked it over a long period. Dial is the original Illinois dial, but has some faint hairlines. A great looking bold double sunk Railroad style dial with red Outer Chapter numbers Watch is lever set and winds and sets correctly but stem in case is a little loose. Serial number 1653929 circa 1903 making this watch over 120 years old. Very nice heavy nickel silver snap back and bezel railroad style case with dust cover. A very nice case. Please see pictures for more information condition. Sold as an unusual watch in the fact that it’s a 17 jewel movement and marked 17 jewel and most of the grade 61s were 15 jewel.
